True, the airline you are traveling on will probably hand you a free eye mask. But there is a reason why they are free. They are cheaply made and not terribly comfortable. A well made eye mask should be made of soft material, it should be padded so that it will block most of the light, and its straps should be adjustable for extra comfort.
