For those inconvenient moments when your power goes out, a flashlight can only do so much and is somewhat impractical to use as a light to read by, unless of course you have a standing flashlight. Basically the name tells you all that you need to know as you can stand the flashlight on its base allowing it to work like a small lamp. And while the light output might not be as bright as a regular lamp, it definitely does the job when the power is out. Make sure to keep a few batteries on hand in case.
