One of the advantages of grinding your own coffee at home is that you can control how coarse of fine you want your grind to be. Another advantage is the wonderful aroma of freshly ground coffee that fills your kitchen. These machines can also grind spices, but it means a thorough cleaning when switching from coffee to spices and back. You may want to get two grinders instead, and use one just for coffee. They make great housewarming presents too.
