When thinking about buying a desktop humidor for your cigar collection, there are a few things to consider first. A humidor, desktop or otherwise, must be able to absorb humidity well, which can be most effectively done by using a Spanish cedar lining. The humidity level of a good humidor must be maintained at about 70%. The outer case should be well sealed and free from imperfections or damage allowing the humidor to close tightly with no humidity escaping from the inside of the box. This is one of those items that may cost you a lot at first, but will prove to be worth the money for years to come.
